Villa Alessandra is an extremely beautiful private 18th century villa, a classic villa of the Lucchese nobility, and only recently made available for weddings. It is relatively small compared with some of the vast Lucchese villas, so it lends itself perfectly for intimate weddings.

Set in its own park, surrounded by oaks, olive trees and ancient magnolias, the villa has beautiful interiors, exquisitely maintained. There is a romantic terrace with classic stairs leading to charming Tuscan manicured gardens, with a working 18th century grotto, and with its views over hills and countyside, this is a lovely backdrop for cocktails.

Uniquely, Villa Alessandra is one of the very few villas in the Lucca area that is licensed for internal weddings. We can make special arrangements for the mayor to come to you at the villa to celebrate your marriage. This is much more special an experience than a wedding simply held in a town hall. It is much more intimate and evocative, with a special presentation made by the mayor.

Here, a beautiful wedding ceremony, both in the daytime, or candlelit later in the day, in the flower filled frescoed ballroom, can take place with the mayor, in front of friends and family.

After the service and photographs, celebrate with champagne aperitifs for all, then take your places in the canopied garden gazebo for a candlelit dinner in these special surroundings. For cooler seasons, the gazebo can be heated. After dinner dancing can take place in the gazebo or in the Lemon House of the Villa.

There is plentiful accommodation nearby to house your guests in the surrounding areas, while for weddings - planned well in advance - the owner has a set of independent cottages on the estate, some with 2 double bedrooms, others with one. Each has its own kitchen/dining area, as well as a small patio. There is a shared swimming pool and recreation area.
